When a manager keeps doing the same thing that hasn't previously worked, and refuses to drop out of form players for others in the squad or for those who deserve a chance, then he has to go.

This is not a new issue, we have been very poor since February and even worse recently since Slot brought his own ideas onto the pitch instead of reverting to what historically worked with Klopp.

It is as clear as day that his tactics don't work and he is not able to change a game when it goes beyond him. Stop putting your best midfielder forward and leaving midfield empty, and then putting the same player at CB! He has done that several times now and it DOESN'T WORK.

He doesn't trust the squad, he will not drop players who are out of form, he continues to play players out of position, and he is not changing his awful tactics!

Obviously we don’t know what’s happening behind the scenes, but with all due respect and understanding, if there are players who are still deeply affected by Jota’s unfortunate passing to the point that it’s impacting their performances, then they shouldn’t be playing.

They should be given all the support they need - time off, professional help, whatever is required. Only the players who feel able to give 100% should be out there.

It is a difficult situation, how much of this is the guys still in mourning of Jota? How much of it is slots system and team selections being suspect?
We don't know for sure and would a new manager be able to come in and lift the players out of it? Maybe we hold on to slot and give more time?
The season has been derailed massively and I don't know what the real answer is.

Slot has no idea how to manage this group of players, tactically he’s been found wanting and he himself has shown no courage. As a leader he has to show courage in the face of adversity do something different and stop picking players who aren’t performing. This is the very least he could do.

I also see he has a group of players who rock up to training in big flash cars and increasingly, look like they’re trying to out do each other in the fashion stakes and you often see them joking about and Konate always seems to be in the thick of it.

Until he changes his approach and tactics it’ll continue to get worse. He should be fighting for his job, one of the best in world football, and demanding effort, energy, fight and if you don’t show it, you’re dropped. Any fan right now would welcome a visible change on the pitch instead of the same lethargic tactics and lack of fight.

Just let Rob Page take the West Ham game and then try and get a new manager in for Sunderland next Wednesday.

I'm not sure it's realistic to have a new manager in place by Sunday.

Ok seriously now, looking at the games. It’s time our senior players came out the team. They should be coming off the bench and giving us what they used to for maybe 30 mins or so, but not starting every game. It’s silly to expect them to keep to there previous levels.

But who replaces Salah? Not semenyo for me, he goes left and replaces Gakpo, another who should be coming off the bench. Have a look at Facundo González the Uruguayan if any of you get a min.

Edwards should put his ego aside and get Klopp back in on 3.5 years deal, till Jun 2029.

Instil the press, intensity and fitness back into the team. A one man Szoboszlai press do not work. It needs work in the training ground. With game every 3 days it will be tough but we do not really have a choice.

Target top 4 and try to win the FA Cup and CL this season

Try to integrate some youth players. We won the league cup with kids couple of seasons back, but seems like we sold most of them and our squad depth is so thin now!

Proper squad planning is required.

25 winter and 26 summer window. We need to sign 5 more players.

2-3 signing each to replace other areas of first team, depending on how the present crop of signings settle.

GK - Allison will likely need a replacement by then.
LB - Promote from youth to replace Robbo or first choice LB if Kerkez still does not kick on
RB - depends if the injury issues of the current 2 persists
CB - 1 to replace VVD+Gomez. Whether a starting CB or youth required depends on the performance of the 2 new CB and Leoni
RW/ LW - 1 needed to upgrade the position. Either replace Gakpo or Rio if he still haven’t kick on. Salah to leave after his deal expire
CM - 1 younger potential starter to keep the midfield fresh, and potentially replace a current incumbent (Mac? ), and avoid having the midfield age together

In summer 28, reevaluate Klopp position if he wants to carry on beyond 29. If not, bring in his successor in summer 28 to be his assistant for a season before taking over the reign in 29.
(Might be tough on this as don’t think we often see a manager agreeing to take a step down to become an assistant, but this will be with a guarantee that he will take over the top job in a years time)

This team is the most unfit Liverpool I have seen hence all the similar constant injuries, alarm bells first rang about slot with me when he was totally out manouvered and outplayed by Eddie Howe and Newcastle in the cup final, then the next big alarm bells for me was when god bless poor Diogo Jota (complete legend btw) tragically lost his life and arne slot was asked how it would affect the group and his response was if they want to train they will train if they don't feel like training then that is fine also, Diogo was a non stop grafter that always put a shift in so for me this teams only was to remember such a superstar is to work harder and harder for him and remember him by winning for him! I am sorry but Slot needs to go he is another Brenda in his self obsessed arrogant manner.

Ed’s and anyone else - reading a Paul Joyce piece yesterday that Slot still retains the backing of the board?
Surely after tonight there has to be a change asap.

What relationship Slot had with the team for the best part of last season has totally gone and no matter how many “quality” players we have there are serious signs of a fight to stay in the bloody division!

A change now means a change of approach and fresh ideas to get these players performing again.

No manager has ever willingly walked away even though they are clearly out of their depth. So I don't think Slot would do that either. Either he'd remain with us or we sack him. And I'm voting for the latter.

we are now losing to everybody everywhere. Slot is being totally disrespectful to the owners, the players, the fans, the club as a whole.

He has publicly stated that he will not change the way we play, and so we can expect much more of the same.

I sort of expected a drop off this season, with all the changes and everything else that has happened, but by God what's happening is unbelievable.

How have we become so bad and why do players and the manager say we need to work harder to turn things around, but it just gets worse.

I honestly think the way things are going, we won't win another game with Slot as manager because of his obsession with playing the way we are being asked.

The players also need to take huge responsibility, because where is their pride. They should be ashamed for the lack of passion and fight in every game we play, even if form goes out of the window they should be showing the fans total .

I don't know where we go from here, because I just feel we will lose against whoever we play, and as I've said a few times in previous posts, we are in danger of a relegation season.
