That team is a joke. Barley half fit Isak, out of form Salah, out of form Gakpo start and Rio, the most exciting player we have, on the bench. Terrible selections. It will be slow, ponderous, and we will get beaten 3-0.

Who will score for us against the Blues?
19 Apr 2026 04:24:05
Cody, I've got a feeling, just a small hunch, that he's going to get the ball wide, cut in, head down, get his tunnel vision, then lash one past T-Rex rising into the roof of the net. Kerkez, Isak, Wirtz will be wide open, but he won't see them. But it won't matter.
19 Apr 2026 11:44:42
Virg from a set piece.
19 Apr 2026 13:11:45
Unfortunately, probably another blank today like so many of our games.
18 Apr 2026 11:20:37
Anyone else think with Ekitike out we will play much better now?
Salah and Rio/Gackpo on flanks and Wirtz false 9. And finally a midfield of Macca and Gravy sitting with Szobo in free role. I can't recall us playing 4-2-1-3 out and out this season when this has worked for like 10 years!!
I hope he tries it and doesn't start Isak.
18 Apr 2026 11:34:01
I'd go 2mo:
Mamar. Frimpong, Konate, Vvd, Robbo.
Grav, Jones, Szobo. Salah, Gakpo, Kerkez.
Bring on Wirtz, Isak+ Rio. Later in game when it's slowed down a bit, think Everton come out flying into us. Kerkez obviously strange 1 at left wing, but I think we need both him + Robbo to start, as they give bit of aggression + physicality.
18 Apr 2026 15:43:54
No, I expect Slot to play Gakpo up front and push Wirtz out to the left.
19 Apr 2026 04:26:56
Macca will be sitting alright. Right after he's finished having a lie down.

Absolutely bizarre. Every decision by Slot and his team was questionable tonight, but starting an unfit Isak was the strangest of them all. Some unfortunate injuries too, and some spirit from the players, but when we were on top it was when Szoboszlai was centre mid and as soon as he was moved back to right back the game slipped away.
Can't wait for the season to end and a new manager.

Usual Slot. Lost it in the Line-Up
15 Apr 2026 08:49:00
It was quite puzzling. Why not start Mo and Ekitike up front, try to score in the first half and then put Isak on the last 30-40 minutes?
15 Apr 2026 16:27:33
The fact he went public on it beforehand was equally as strange. It made me wonder whether he was having a dig at the medical team, basically saying that they had told him Isak could only do 45 mins, whereas he wouldn't have decided that.
Last year he had a tendency to over explain a lot of tactical things after games, but was given a pass because we were winning.
This season his media stuff just makes him sound like he's making excuses or in some cases deluded, or he goes into territory he just doesn't need to.
Makes me wonder, does he have any one around him to help and guide him, he just seems lost.
16 Apr 2026 10:39:07
I don't think that Isak should have started, but I assumed that he started him to avoid bringing him on after 60 mins and potentially risk overplaying him if the game went to extra time.
The guy has been out for months. He needs game-time to get his sharpness. It felt like the most important thing to the club was to use the game as part of his rehab.
14 Apr 2026 22:36:34
Good effort, but we were like a chainsaw and they were like a hover mower.
15 Apr 2026 09:19:09
Chainsaw? We were more like a Yugo Zastava with 4 bald tyres and no MOT being driven by Mr Magoo trying to race against a Lancia 037 Stradale being driven by peak Michael Schumacher.
15 Apr 2026 13:56:39
We brought a knife to a gunfight. What a car, Vik. One of my all-time favourites.
15 Apr 2026 15:25:32
Chewy, nice to see someone else appreciate an absolute classic.
15 Apr 2026 15:41:49
There's a beautiful restomod, Kimera EVO37, well worth a look if you haven't seen it. Not just some cheap throwback either, some of the team over at Kimera actually developed the original 037.
15 Apr 2026 20:31:31
I've seen that Chewy, thing of beauty but the price is eye watering. If I'd wasn't for the fact that the Lancia Beta Monte Carlo is as fragile as they come, I'd get one of those as it's the closest any of us could come to owning one.
Have you seen the Nardone Automotive 928 restomod, that thing is better than anything Porsche currently make,
18 Apr 2026 15:50:34
Insane price tag but it is a proper piece of kit. They actually use the beta monte carlo as the base platform for the Kimera, obviously they do a huge amount of work to it but as soon as I read that I starting looking up prices.
18 Apr 2026 16:24:35
Hadn't seen that one actually Vik, very nice indeed, always fancied the FE porsches, shame they got discontinued. Can't see Porsche ever revisiting that style again either. There was a time there you could get a 928 for next to nothing, they've gone up considerably though. The Encore Series I Esprit and Ringbrothers Octavia DBS are both very much in the dream garage too.

He’s bottled starting Rio there 2nite! We were gick. I’m not shocked. We play dire football, poxy to watch. All I can say.
14 Apr 2026 22:05:29
Well that was disappointing but not unexpected. Poor showing at best. Please can Slot leave now?
14 Apr 2026 22:37:21
I understand your disappointment, but they scored aging the run of play. At times, I'd say they were bricking it.
We were decent tonight. Bring on Everton!
