So Tsimikas is to return to replace Robbo. Think his deal runs out in 2027 as well, so makes sense to use as cover for a year. Linked to Lamine Camara from Monaco as well. I also see that back in 2022 Wolves' Joao Gomes, whilst at Flamengo, stated his desire to play for Liverpool, so perhaps we would be front runners if we made a move.

All the big European clubs are watching Bournemouth's Rayan and are all impressed. Bournemouth are also the worst off in the Prems' new financial rules.

2

17 Apr 2026 10:56:09
Don't mind Tsimi as a backup.

Gomes would be an excellent upgrade on McA.

0

17 Apr 2026 10:57:29
Like a new signing!

1

17 Apr 2026 11:24:28
Tsimikas had his chance. Wasn't good for Roma, so why would he be good enough for Liverpool. Give Chambers a chance. Homegrown and seems to get along nicely. With 70+ odd games to play next season, Chambers will get some game.

1

17 Apr 2026 11:36:53
RobRed, I personally wouldn't have him back, but we need funds in other areas. Chambers looks good. Beck also, but he's had a lot of injuries.

I've just watched Slot say in his press conference whilst talking about transfers and maybe not needing too many in the summer, he said "If we don't need to bring in too many players, we will not have to train so much."

2

17 Apr 2026 09:39:58
I think he said trading not training. Well I hope that's what he said.

4

17 Apr 2026 09:58:12
Ah! Thanks, Coulred, my hearing surely is gone now at this stage.

1

17 Apr 2026 10:38:05
This is going to be a long thread. 😁

1

17 Apr 2026 10:59:52
Don't worry, Robbo, we all stopped listening to Slot a while back haha.

5

17 Apr 2026 02:55:01
Dominic king from The Telegraph reported six first team players leaving this summer Salah, Robertson, Gomez, MacAllister, Curtis Jones and Chiesa. Is that true Eds?

1

https://liverpool-rumours.co.uk/uploads/thumb_Ed001.png avatar{Ed001's Note - it is certainly possible. Impossible to say for sure as no deals are completed as it stands, but those other four are all on the block for a sale.}

7

17 Apr 2026 07:27:27
I'd hope Konate was on the list for players leaving as well.

10

17 Apr 2026 07:41:59
He's a human clown car most of the time. I'd prefer Lacroix or Murillo.

2

17 Apr 2026 08:27:40
They should be on the block for sale. My opinion: I'm really unsure about Chiesa. It's very hard to judge him in the very minimal time he's given on the pitch, but perhaps he isn't good enough to get much more. I think we'd all like him to do well here. It seems like he's being treated as a bit of an unwanted individual by Slot. That's just my view of his situation. He certainly has desire, and in a more attack driven mindset, he could very well be successful.

It's right to sell Gomez given his injury record, which for me is a real shame. When he was fit and firing, unfortunately not often enough, he was a great partner for VVD. I think it was our CL winning season that he played consistently beside him, and he was excellent. Injury certainly curtailed his career. The other 2 can freely leave imo. Anyway, we'll see soon.

3

17 Apr 2026 09:13:30
Shankleys Ghost.
No need to be unsure about Chiesa. He should be nowhere near a Liverpool team. He wouldn't even get on the bench at any other top 6 side, and would not get a regular start at any other Premier League side, including bottom teams Burnley and Wolves.

3

17 Apr 2026 09:14:55
Konate should be the first on the block to be sold! Total and utter calamity imo. 🀷🏼🀑

2

17 Apr 2026 08:03:09
Hi Ed,
What do you think of selling Jones?
Also, would you add Gakpo to that list?

Thanks

0

https://liverpool-rumours.co.uk/uploads/thumb_Ed001.png avatar{Ed001's Note - I wouldn't sell Jones, we have space in the squad for homegrown and his wages are not high for a Premier League player. I would be looking to replace him though long term, but right now he is a useful squad player, if not reaching the level he should have.

No, I would not sell Gakpo at the moment. He was very good last season, the tactics are hindering him like so many others.}

7

17 Apr 2026 10:01:05
Gakpo will be our second striker next season until Ekitike gets fit, so he should not be sold.

2

17 Apr 2026 09:52:05
Konate Ed? Is he signing a new contract? I personally would let him go if he is asking crazy money as I don't think he is as good as most people say. Maybe look for an upgrade on RCB position and ease both Leoni and Jacquet after their long term injury.

0

https://liverpool-rumours.co.uk/uploads/thumb_Ed001.png avatar{Ed001's Note - it looks likely he signs a new deal, though I would never have even offered him one, he was the weakest link last season and this. We should have replaced him and sold him last summer.}

3

17 Apr 2026 10:09:09
Completely agree Ed.
Perhaps Jones isn't happy with his bit part role though and wants more first team mins.
Id keep him.

Surprised Endo is not on that list.

0

https://liverpool-rumours.co.uk/uploads/thumb_Ed001.png avatar{Ed001's Note - I assumed he was just forgotten about. Such a sad way to end his career with us after all he gave under Klopp. Slot is a horrible man manager and that is more of a problem even than his abysmal tactics imo. You can't expect to keep the players playing for you and giving their all when you treat their friends and colleagues the way he does.}

6

17 Apr 2026 10:36:06
You're probably right, Kemlyn. I'm just more sentimental as I get older.... On Gakpo I'd have zero intentions of selling him. I like him. He's a good player.... I wouldn't stand in Jones' way if there was an offer on the table for him.

I'd keep Endo ahead of Jones. At least he's good at what he does once on the pitch. He has a definitive role. Everyone knows my view on Konate. No need to elaborate further.

0

17 Apr 2026 10:41:50
Jones is the only one I'd keep as well. Should have been in ahead of McAllister all season. For me, Endo should be added as well.

0

17 Apr 2026 10:50:15
His treatment of Chiesa is beyond forgiving. He has wasted 2 years of his career under Slot, looking at non-wingers being shoehorned into the left wing when he has been made to sit and watch.

1

17 Apr 2026 10:53:18
Chiesa would be great for us if we played more front footed attacking play, like under Klopp. Sadly our slow way of playing doesn't suit his style. He'd have been immense under Klopp.

1

17 Apr 2026 11:08:18
Squad players are always needed at a club of our size, but we have plenty of young lads on the cusp of being ready for first team football and should embrace the academy more for these roles.

Granted, they won't all make it, but exposure to Premier League football as a minimum gives a player a platform to earn a move and gains some funds back into the club. We have done well at selling young players for a profit under Klopp.

Morton, Quansah, Kelleher, Doak, Ibe for examples, but we don't seem to give any a platform under Slott.

Rio, by popular demand from the fans, is getting game time, but what about -

Nyoni
Pesci
Ramsey
Beck
Lucky
Gordon
Figueroa
Wright

A clear path is needed for these players, and saves millions if they can perform.

To reiterate, this is for squad places before I get slated for needing Premier League ready shiny expensive toys.

0

17 Apr 2026 11:43:49
My feeling is that it may go like this with the former replacing the latter:

Rio - Chiesa.
Nyoni - Endo.
Senesi - Gomez (Senesi on a free).
Wharton/M.Fernandes - Macca.
Diomande - Salah.
Gordon - Gakpo.
Chambers/Beck - Robbo/Tsimikas.
Stephens - Bradley (until he returns).
Jones - possibly Bacejtic/McDonnel/Kees Smit.
Ekitike - Williams/Danns (until Eki returns with Gakpo rotating with Isak more than Williams/Danns).

Feels like heavy investment will likely be on Salah replacement, a 6 and a LW.
We cannot burden Rio with full workload of 70+ next season. The boy will break like Baj.

Somewhere along the line we have to rely on our academy.

Said it before all ITKs on this site just hedge their bets, smoke and mirrors. Look back at what thay have said and it never happens. Oh but wait we are then told it's a changing situation. If you keep posting guesses one day you will get something right. Slot unfortunately is staying.

Albeydered, good effort lad.

15

17 Apr 2026 01:17:18
It will be an interesting end of the season, as they now have their first choice available and only have to pay off Slot. Will they let Alonso go when even Jurgen said he's going to be one of the next big coaches.

1

17 Apr 2026 01:35:26
Someone give Albey a participation trophy, he tried his best.

11

17 Apr 2026 04:18:25
None of the ITKs have actually said they are ITKs. They are lads who have passed on information they have received. They are not responsible for the information being correct or for the situation changing, which may invalidate genuinely true information when they were first told. There's no point in shouting at people.

This is a tumours site not a 'guaranteed to happen' site.

As I've said quite a few times, the only time you can believe stuff is when Liverpool FC post official announcements, although fans have speculated about stuff since the game started up and long may it be the case, providing it's seen as fun and taken with a pinch of salt.

18

17 Apr 2026 06:49:25
Imagine coming to a rumours website to complain about people posting rumours.

25

17 Apr 2026 07:13:41
Well said, Ned.

5

17 Apr 2026 07:43:45
It definitely is a tumours site, but I won't name the usual suspects.

1

17 Apr 2026 08:58:21
We all love the rumours, keep them coming.

2

17 Apr 2026 09:18:03
I genuinely don't understand some people on here. If you want 100% reliable information then go to the Liverpool official site and wait for the club announcements.

This is a rumours site. There are some who seem to be very genuinely ITK but that doesn't mean that what they are being told is 100% true or that things won't change. They are just passing on what they are being told. I'm told things all the time at work that then change a couple of days later because other circumstances have changed.

There are also some posters acting as if they are ITK who have zero connections and are posting made up information or information lifted directly from social media either in the hope that they guessed correctly and can appear ITK or simply to troll the site.

This is an amazing site that the Eds put a lot of work into so that we can get our fix completely free of charge. You have to take the good with the bad. If you visit often enough you start to see the posters who are right more often than they are not and you can put more faith in their posts whilst ignoring the wanna-be ITKs.

17 Apr 2026 10:08:46
Everyone knows the best way to ingratiate yourself to this site is to have a go at the "ITK"s. Especially when providing nothing yourself.

0

17 Apr 2026 10:47:56
Spot on Wdw and Shipley, but the problem is people take what the ITK's post as gospel when half of them are probably Man U fans buzzing off people's heads πŸ˜†.

0

17 Apr 2026 11:13:01
To be fair we have perfect balance between ITK, KIA and KFA so actually we have hedged the rumours.
Imagine visiting a rumour site to be annoyed by rumours or the posters of the rumours.

I miss Ed002.

0

17 Apr 2026 11:14:27
I personally don't particularly care if the 'ITKs' are right or not, it's just a bit of fun that passes the (very little) spare time I have.

However, I would argue that rather than hedging bets and guessing, they have been pretty consistent in their messaging and don't flip flop (nod to Ed002 there) between stories.

0

17 Apr 2026 11:42:45
FM, although I don't class myself as ITK, others do. So you best not be thinking I'm a fan of that crap down the M6. πŸ˜‚

Hi eds,

Hope use are well, always appreciate the work use do on this site.

Ed25 some great takes over the past few days regarding us and how PSG beating us was a given! I think that about use on Sunday unfortunately which is a shame. This team and manager and everything about us is an identity am sure many of us aren't familiar with, as we look shambolic.

Anyway a question i wanted to ask all Eds or anyone who has an idea around fitness more or less. Is the Ekitike injury related to the lack of training? Same with most of the injuries we seem to be picking up? I understand some injuries can be freak accidents but with the players not being as robust is this what is causing them?

I read today online that Ekitikes could be where there is too much load being put onto the achilles without it being conditioned enough. Does anyone know the truth in this?

Cheers always too for the work eds

2

https://www.evertonrumours.co.uk/uploads/thumb_ed025-1241569729.png avatar{Ed025's Note - as far as i am aware it is a freak accident KK..

2

16 Apr 2026 22:25:10
My mate had the same injury, needed a year off work.
Even with the best doctors and treatment in the world he will inevitably get, it's still a horrible injury, and we've seen the last of him for a good while, sadly.

I reckon we will have to look at bringing in another striker because Isak, even when fully fit, can't do it by himself until Ekitike is back.

4

17 Apr 2026 01:52:01
How is Jayden Danns recovering? Any chance he will be 2nd choice with Gakpo rotating?

0

17 Apr 2026 07:30:25
Some season for freak accidents, Leoni out for a season, Bradley out for a season, Isak missing a large part of the season, and now Eki misses the end of the season and could miss a large part of next season.

2

17 Apr 2026 10:11:34
I remember the late Trevor Francis had the same injury as Hugo, and he never fully recovered from it. Hope Hugo recovers, he is a talent as well. YNWA

0

17 Apr 2026 10:50:28
Endo as well, Mcgoveb. And all besides Isak were non-contact.

0

16 Apr 2026 21:33:00
Don’t be surprised if both Allison and Vvd announce their end of season departures once we stumble over the line into a Champions League place.

6

16 Apr 2026 23:52:41
At this rate I'll be surprised if they stay, especially if Slot is.

6

17 Apr 2026 10:14:51
Jesus, the changing rooms will be empty with all these players leaving !!!
Are they leaving a sinking ship that is captained by a certain head coach?

1

16 Apr 2026 21:13:56
Liverpool agendas Craig Houlden on YouTube has over the last few weeks. Alonso will take over. He's now saying all reports, including Ornstein and others including Alex Crook. The reliable Ben Jacobs that slot will lead us next year; it's really looking like he will be in charge next season. Alonso to Man Utd?

3

16 Apr 2026 21:43:51
Mate, no-one knows because it hasn't been decided yet.

Relax, Slot will have a lot of work to do to persuade his bosses he gets another season.

Maybe he will, but, as far as "reports" are concerned, it's all speculation at the moment. It hasn't been decided either way.

7

16 Apr 2026 21:46:03
Grav I won't be surprised if Slot is still manager next season as there seems to be so much conflicting info. But I will be so surprised that I will eat the.eds boxers if Alonso takes over Man U.

2

16 Apr 2026 22:21:37
You seriously watch that guy and believe what he says? If so, can I have your email address? I know a Nigerian prince that would like to talk to you.

11

16 Apr 2026 22:52:35
Slot in London with his wife today at La Vazza, so my son tells me he's seen on social media. Don't we have a big game on Sunday???

4

16 Apr 2026 23:02:00
Steviep62, saw that too. Disgraceful stuff. Should be putting everything into preparation for the weekend.

5

17 Apr 2026 00:00:48
I can't believe what's going on. How are the club allowing this?

3

17 Apr 2026 00:37:21
At least he is not on the Easy Jet for once.

2

17 Apr 2026 04:07:17
Steviep62, because Liverpool have been this way for a long time. And by that I mean never pressing home favourable situations, and consistently resting on laurels rather than always trying to improve.
The rot started in the 90s, when we were outmaneuvered at every turn by Man Utd, and continued throughout the 2000s, when we'd pretty much given up being a top club until Jurgen stepped in.

The fans at games need to demand more, but they won't as long as it means they get to keep their season tickets.
Real Madrid and Barcelona are grubby clubs, but their fans sure as earth would not put up with this nonsense.

2

17 Apr 2026 06:03:54
Lowe, you can guarantee Klopp wouldn't be swanning off to London and giving the players time off after a defeat and just before the derby.

5

17 Apr 2026 06:10:04
I doubt Benitez would have given the players the time off after the form they've been showing.

That's why this doesn't feel like the actions of a manager who's in it for the long haul, but somebody who knows their leaving soon, so what the hell.

It's like he wants them to sack him.

2

17 Apr 2026 06:23:30
Viktor, As time goes on, it will only become heightened just how important Klopp was to Liverpool, though it should be crystal clear to all. An absolute titan.

3

17 Apr 2026 06:42:43
Ron, you're giving too much credit to "his bosses". They're equally useless.

1

17 Apr 2026 10:19:58
Don't LFC have an office in London? Maybe Slot has been to discuss his future away from Anfield and the press. Or maybe the Dutch FA met him there to discuss taking over the national team after the World Cup?
Or Ajax were meeting him to discuss him managing them next season.
Let's hope it is one of these. πŸ™πŸ™πŸ™πŸ™πŸ™

16 Apr 2026 21:10:35
I see this posted online. Not sure how true, but thought I’d share…

Richard Hughes is really the key player in keeping Arne Slot at Liverpool. He’s all in on Slot for next season and has plans to bring in two pacey wingers to shake things up.

Now, Michael Edwards is still on the fence about Arne Slot, which adds some tension. Since Hughes is calling the shots on football decisions, it puts Edwards in a tricky spot.

If Michael Edwards wants to move on from Slot, he’d have to go against Richard Hughes, and that could really sour their close relationship.

Will Hughes get his way, or will Edwards make a bold move to override him?

All information above has come from reporter who works closely with us.

0

16 Apr 2026 21:21:29
I've heard of Will Hughes but not Will Edwards?!?!?. πŸ˜‚πŸ˜‚

12

16 Apr 2026 21:25:10
If I'm not mistaken, Edwards is supposed to be the CEO of football for FSG. So I would assume he's the one calling the shots on football decisions, since he is the boss of both Hughes and Slot. Unless I'm completely wrong.

0

16 Apr 2026 21:35:38
Trouble is they are chums together. Not ideal.

2

16 Apr 2026 21:45:22
Edwards has a boss. They will all be appraised once the season is concluded.

2

17 Apr 2026 01:19:57
Wasn't Edwards brought in to oversee a multi-club model for FSG? Now they are not doing that, what role does he play.

0

16 Apr 2026 18:21:56
Love a rumour, we all do. However, JonnyN06 info did sound a lot like this but just reworded?
I@alex_crook and
@JacobsBen: "It is worth noting
that Klopp's own team also wasn't
built overnight and was the
product of around five windows.
"This is partly why Liverpool still
back Arne Slot and believe a full rebuild under him is yet to take
place."

3

16 Apr 2026 18:54:25
These recent rumours are completely different from what The Fields and Carra have been reporting. Somebody has got this completely wrong. I hope it is not The Fields and Carra that are wrong.

19

16 Apr 2026 19:22:06
Difference with Klopp was there was a vision and a pattern of football, there's nothing with Slot.

28

16 Apr 2026 19:02:28
Over to you cara the fields just out of interest what does the Eds think will happen with slot?

16 Apr 2026 20:17:27
I have posted a few times on my take of the manager news. I think Slot has brought us backwards this season, most of our players can't seem to make it past the 65th minute without looking 'gassed'.

As I've also said before, for me, I would like Alonso to become our manager for the next season, I think he has what it takes for the club and he has the history and his family embraced living in Liverpool.

It seems too perfect that he is available to take over.

But, if Slot is staying, then he has my backing. I have supported Liverpool for over 35 years and I won't stop now.

5

16 Apr 2026 20:14:55
Eds 01 has said he believes they are standing by slot so that probably confirms he staying πŸ₯²

2

16 Apr 2026 20:52:14
I believe Carra, Thefields, Robbo & the window cleaner.

6

16 Apr 2026 21:03:07
RaceyLFC, in the words of Mulder, "I want to believe".

1

16 Apr 2026 20:57:20
Grav7, Ed001 said he believes they WANT him to stay, but if you read on in the same thread on Banter you'll see that Slot is still expected to leave as he has not settled in England (nor eve tried, according to Ed001).

On the one hand, as a parent with kids at school, I can see why he wouldn't want to a) uproot them or b) be apart from them for long periods of time.

However, this is the Premier League, and he accepted a role managing one of the Elite teams (THE elite team!) so I'm not sure what he expected.

As Jurgen showed (and Rafa, Ged and Kenny before him amongst others, all of whom suffered for their love of Liverpool) being Liverpool Manager is a 150% job. You just can't combine it with commuting home all the time

9

17 Apr 2026 10:25:17
Well, if he gave the players a day off in the week, and he was allegedly seen with his wife in London when we have the derby on Sunday, not a good look is it.
No wonder players look unfit after 65 mins.
