Andoni could only twiddle his thumbs whilst apparently Hughes thought we'd enough in Midfield. Kids to back up an already poor midfield for the Premier league.
Why is a journeyman sporting director determining that and allowed to control our squad?
It leads back to why Alonso wasn't appointed. Two bad eggs were appointed by the club in Edwards and Hughes. Twiddle dee and twiddle dumb had far too much power.
Look at our wagebill ffs and we've players on Bellingham's earnings that aren't a patch on what he offers, nevermind the commercial aspect. Jude will leave it all on the pitch.


I'm looking at midfielders that don't want to bust a gut to run back or stick their legs and body into win a tackle. But here's your massive wages.
Hughes and Edwards have fleeced the club. Everyone and their mother at the club have all had their already inflated wages doubled. Why? Have they been superstars for 3,4 years and brought us a load of success? I don't think so.
We all knew Gakpo could be improved on, but we find ourselves happier he's stayed because of our squad depth or quality.
The pressure will be enormous on Andoni. If results go against us, we have some very weak characters within the squad and on big money who won't get us out of it.

Bellingham's on £345kpw with less tax to pay than here. That excludes bonuses. Virgil's on 350kpw and now the highest earner as Salah left. Next highest is Isak at 280kpw. Gravenberch, Dom and Gakpo on huge wages; I am afraid it's the going rate at elite level for their profiles.

Hughes masterclass!

Not making an effort to sign Camara just to see Chelsea's move fall through right at the last minute was a bold move but boy did it deliver.

Making everyone think Gakpo was leaving only for him to stay and make us feel like it was a brand new signing. if only for a moment or two.

Signing a goalkeeper with all of our remaining money so we can watch how amazing he is in a terrible league!

The boy is a genius. And may I add, a total bozo.

Lammens came from the Belgian league and looks a great GK for Utd. Belgian reports say our new GK is a traditional GK but good with his feet. I trust our scouts on this one.

My Spurs mates are buzzing whilst the rest of us are just confused.

Mudryk for £75m? Something dodgy going on there.

On the subject of dodgy, I’ve been told by a Spurs mate that Spurs overpaid for Savinho so that they could get Marmoush at a cheaper price.

City wanted it this way as Frankfurt have a sell on clause for Marmoush.

Can’t see Frankfurt being too happy with that!

I think that last part is an open secret at this point, BP. It was brought up on here a few times and you're right, the deal is fishy. Savinho and Marmoush came as a pair, and the paper value on Savinho is higher, so that City don't need to pay Frankfurt what they owe them as a sell-on clause.

If I were working at Frankfurt, I'd be raising a huge fuss to get those deals investigated.

I always wanted Alonso, but I think Xabi went to the right club. He's being properly backed and I'll be in Paddy Powers (or any other bookies, as we support all bookies) and put a few bob on them winning the league. I think he's done good business.

Cue MKS and co to tell us how bad everyone else's business and teams are. In my opinion, we are miles off with first 11 and even further off from the bench.

I'd love a young player to come through, Trey or Rio, but TAA is the last to hold a first team spot. All the young Worldies we've been told about season after season after season are gone, none have actually gone to a top team and excelled!!! I think some fans cod themselves on how good our youngsters really are.

Chelsea had 39% possession versus Fulham and 25% possession at home to Brighton. He's playing low, low block football; that's why they have conceded five goals, one more than us.

Who would want to watch that 25% possession at home? Even Arne never had that low a figure in 2 years. He plays Russian roulette football; that's why RM sacked him? He may well win it, but it would be a bad day for football.

Wdym "even Arne"? Slot's entire game was possession, he is the anti-Xabi, just kick it around the halfway line for 90 minutes and get done on the counter by the opposition striker's only touch of the game.
